What to Expect
Because getting to know you and your body is important, the first visit is two and a half hours long. Following visits are about an hour.
If you have any questions at any time regarding your care at our office, please feel free to talk to the office staff or the doctor. We want you to feel comfortable and confident with your treatment here, along with knowing that your health care is our priority.
You will be asked to fill out New Patient Forms, which will help us gain information about yourself and your condition. Please take time to fill them out completely. The more information you can provide, the better we will be able to help you. All forms will remain strictly confidential. Dempster Natural Health forms are available for download and by request for new patients. Download them now and complete them in the comfort of your home.
The doctor will take your history by asking directed questions to assess your condition and how it affects you and then will proceed with an examination. Nothing will be done in our office without your consent.
The examination will include standard orthopedic, neurological, postural, and other examinations as required. After the initial examination, the doctor may order additional testing to be performed. The doctor will do this to determine the cause of your complaint. No additional testing will be performed in our office without a full explanation of the procedure, your options, and your consent.
Additional testing which may be ordered may include blood test, saliva hormone test, stool test, hair analysis, EKG, X-ray, CT/MRI, etc. If you have recently had testing done, please bring in copies of the films, reports, and laboratory results to your first appointment along with a list of your current medications and supplements (include herbal and over the counter).
After completing the examination, we will proceed to your first treatment, which may include neurological, biochemical, and/or structural work.
A spouse or family member is always welcome to attend.
